Rajasthan, an exotic land that represents an unusual diversity in all its forms – people, culture, customs and dialects. Rajasthan’s palaces and mud homes, forts and villages all echo the love of color and beauty that characterizes the people of this state in western India.  In every street & home of Rajasthan reflects the romantic past and its vivid and dynamic present.  Rajasthan, as its name suggests, was once a group of small kingdoms, ruled by Rajas and Maharajas.  Each of these royal states in western India had its own fortified capital, with palaces for its ruling family. Romantic and heroic traditions flourished in these distant desert kingdoms, and royal patronage ensured the development of a variety of beautiful crafts and arts.  Good-humored people, camels and innumerable herds of bleating sheep and goats fill Rajasthani landscapes. When you lift your eyes to the hills or the horizon, you’re almost certain to see fort perched on the nearest crag!  Each small village, city and settlement built a protective citadel against the marauding armies of neighboring rulers and roaming bandit tribes.
